The Colorado State women's golf team and head coach Laura Cilek announced Monday the addition of Emily Lauterbach as an assistant coach ahead of the 2024-25 season.
"We are excited to welcome Emily to Fort Collins. Her high-level collegiate playing experience, professional career, and her ability to connect with student-athletes will make her a great addition to our coaching staff," Cilek said. "Emily loves golf and is excited to help us continue to find ways to elevate our student-athlete experience here at Colorado State."
Lauterbach joins the Rams after spending the last year playing professionally including competing in the LPGA Ford Championship and being a member of the Epson Tour. Before her time as a professional, Lauterbach competed at the collegiate level for the University of Wisconsin in the Big Ten.
At Wisconsin, Lauterbach was named to the All-Big Ten Championship team in both 2022 and 2023 while finishing runner-up at the Big Ten Championships in 2023. She also claimed the Wisconsin State Open and Wisconsin State Am Championship while being named the Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin Player of the Year in 2018.
Originally from Hartland, Wisconsin, Lauterbach brings high level experience ready to make a direct impact to the Colorado State team this season.
"I'm grateful for the opportunity to work with Coach Cilek and join the Rams! Her leadership has already taken this team to new heights, and I'm eager to learn from her and contribute to the continued success she's built," Lauterbach said.
